History
S Clarke & Son was established by the late Samuel Clarke in 1918 as a Funeral Directors/Joinery Contractors. Which over the years earned an enviable reputation.
The hall mark of the Company's success has been the involvement in the business of successive generations of the Clarke family. By the late thirties Mr John M Clarke had joined his father's business which by then had moved from Greenwell Street to premises in Movilla Street and the family tradition had been emulated by Mr Jim Clarke in the eighties and now carried from the nineties into the twenty first century by his brother Mr Stephen Clarke, all initiated by their late grandfather Samuel. 2009 embarked yet another chapter in its proud history with a move from Movilla Street, the short distance to 1 Kennel Lane to a new complex of offices and glass workshop.
